Laughter
![]() My own personal and professional interest in mental, physical and emotional wellness led me to Laughter Yoga in 2007. When I tried it for the first time, I was skeptical and felt self-critical. However, I laughed in my first Laughter Yoga class in a way that I had not for a long time! It helped me connect with the capacity to laugh and find joy despite the external conditions - a capacity which we all have.
This led me to train with Dr. Madan Kataria, the founder of Laughter Yoga, and I became a Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher. I currently run and co-lead the Certified Laughter Yoga Leader training in BC. For more information about the upcoming training click here. My work in Laughter Yoga has caught the attention of media including Maclean’s Magazine, Simon Fraser University News, Global BC Television, and TELUS Optic TV.

The Mayor proclaimed the day in honour of Yue Minjun, the artist who created the A-maz-ing Laughter sculptures in English bay.
